Group of seven comic strip works and clippings cut from newspaper, comprising: three daily Krazy Kat strips by George Herriman (American, 1880--1944), one dated 1918 and one dated March 2, 1919, published in the Los Angeles Examiner; one color Sunday Krazy Kat strip by Herriman, copyright 1922 King Features Syndicate, dated September 12, 1922, framed under glass; and one double-sided clipping from The News Magazine Supplement, March 2, 1913, bearing Dream of the Rarebit Fiend by Winsor McCay (American, c. 1866--1934), published under his pen name "Silas," verso with Uncle Jim and Tad and Tim by Clare Victor Dwiggins (American, 1874--1958), signed "Dwig."; Lastly two works by Jim Meddick (American, b. 1957), comprising "Robotman," March 23, 1986, an original hand-drawn and lettered ink on board, depicting a museum visit strip with the "Robotman" title panel; copyright 1986 United Feature Syndicate, Inc.; together with the corresponding published newspaper color clipping. The strip depicts Robotman visiting a museum of modern art, with dialogue referencing "Neo-Conceptual Primitivism" and "Yale's Center for the Visual Arts." Robotman ran from 1985 to 2001 before evolving into the strip "Monty."
