A portfolio of approximately 32 prints, edition 15/52, A. Imp., by students of the Yale Summer School of Music and Art, Norfolk, Connecticut, 1972; Faculty during the 1972 summer session included Chuck Close (American, 1940–2021) and Philip Guston (Canadian/American, 1913–1980). Confirmed works in the portfolio include those by Louisa Lizbeth Chase (American, 1951–2016, listed as "Louisa Chase" in the portfolio), neo-expressionist painter and printmaker whose work is held in the collections of MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum, and the Walker Art Center, and who exhibited at the 1984 Venice Biennale; and Dennis Kardon (American, b. 1950), painter whose woodblock prints were included in MoMA's 1983 exhibition Prints from Blocks: Gauguin to Now; together with works by additional students including Andrea A., R. Dilworth, Anderson, N. Anello, Judy Pfaff, Mark Mentzer, M. Stewart, Christine Mathieu, R. Newman, Daniel C. Kipnis, S. Warren, L.M. Waters, David Wallin, Lois Gruberger, David Kent, Michael Knutson, Christopher Bell, Paul Kagawa, Elizabeth Grubic, and others; with titles including "Romani" (Chase), "Kathryn's Death" (Kardon), "The Evil Baby Dream," "Double-Weave," "Sacrificing Pig," "Archelon," "Norfolk Sunset," "Red Light-Green Light," "Pull the PhD," "Drop a Line Sometime," "Latticework," and others. Housed in original blue and orange portfolio.
