U.S. National Guard kepi featuring an American shield badge with 13 stars, gilt bullion wreath/swag and decoration, two National Guard buttons. Interior black silk lining bears silver maker stamp, 'Jacob Reed's Sons / Military Clothers / 920 & 922 Chestnut St. / PHILA'. Wool (dark blue), silk and leather construction. America, late 19th century.
