A group of six titles from the Roycrofters, all are either signed, limited editions, or both. All are in interesting or fine bindings.

The Book of Job As Translated from the Original by Rabbi Abraham Elzas; With some Comments on the Poem by Elbert Hubbard. MDCCCXCVII [1897]. This first edition was limited to 350 copies.This is copy #16, and is signed by Hubbard, with the note that "Nos one to forty are specially hand-illumined". Title page with watercolor illustration of Moses in the bulrushes, initialed CS. Numerous other watercolor or pen and ink embellishments occur throughout, and woodcut initials and borders with watercolor enhancements. Bound in half cloth with blue-grey paper covers and end papers. Small 8vo. Covers a bit soiled and some thoughtless underlining by a later hand on the spine and front cover, but the inside is a work of art and in excellent condition.

The Journal of Koheleth Being A Reprint Of The Book Of Ecclesiastes ith An Essay By Elbert Hubbard. The Roycroft Printing Shop MDCCCXCVI Of 700 copies printed this is copy #5 signed by Hubbard. Colophon indicating this is the first printing. Vellum "yap" style medieval binding, with intact heavy cloth tapes laced through slits in the vellum. 8vo.  Hubbards essay with bright red ornate woodcut borders. The text block has become slightly separated from the binding, but holding. Very good condition.

Elbert Hubbard The Philosophy of Elbert Hubbard The Roycrofters. 1916. This first edition was limited to 13 copies. This is copy #12, and is signed by Elbert Hubbard II. Beautifully hand bound in 3/4 green morocco, with marbled style covers and end papers.Spine witbh raised bands and gilt compartments, with the Roycroft logo at the bottom. Top edge gilt. 8vo. This book was "gathered together and made into a book" by Charles J. Rosen and Carles Youngers, craftsmen at the Roycroft Shops. This was their tribute to Hubbard who with his wife Alice, were on board the HMS Lusitania when it was sunk by a German submarine off the coast of Ireland, on May 7, 1915. The book is in excellent condition.

Benjamin Franklin Poor Richard's Almanack...A Little Journey To The Home of Benjamin Franklin. By Elbert Hubbard. Roycroft-Town...MCMXXIV [1924]. Of this edition on Japan Vellum there4 were printed twenty copies, and this book is number 14. Initialed by Hubbard II then signed below "Elbert Hubbard II Roycroft-Town N.Y."  Laid in is a note inscribed "To: Harold Donahue - with all good wishes from his friend Elbert Hubbard II  Xmas '36". Beautifully bound in 3/4 tan morocco with raised bands and 5 gilt compartments on the spine. Marbled style covers and end papers. Top edge gilt. 8vo. A stunning book. 

Fra Elbertus (Elbert Hubbard) Ali Baba...Roycroft-Town The Roycrofters...1926. The book was a tribute to Hubbard's friend, and was originally published in 1899. Beautifully hand bound in 3/4 plum colored morocco, with blind and gilt tooled covers and spine. Marbled covers and end papers. Frontis portrait. Several full page woodcut illustrations throughout. All on Roycroft water-marked paper. Not signed or limited, but beautifully executed, inside and out.

Mabel Powers (Yehsennohwehs) The Portage Trail...The Roycroft Shops...1924. First edition. Bound in 1/2 leather with brown paper covers. Gilt spine lettering. Top edge gilt. Illustrated with photographs throughout. In fine condition with light loss of color to the edges of the leather. Housed in a contemporary chemise and slipcase.
