Roy Landenberger (Pennsylvania, 1891–1987), hand-sewn tapestry of a forest interior with two woman. Together with a newspaper article about Roy and this exact work, which was started in the year 1918 and completed in 1969.

Roy F. Landenberger was a self-taught artist, innovator, woodworker, and musician (among others) who started painting at the age of 12. Roy worked as an automobile painter for some years, as well as a sign painter. He also converted an Indian motorcycle into a motorized bobsled in the year 1912. Roy was a member of his local fife and drum corps in PA for several years as well. More information on Roy's life and artistry is easily found online.
