Provenance: Estate of David and Julie Pease.
More Info: This is a significant document of American graphic design history, representing the Tyler Offset Workshop's pioneering effort to elevate offset lithography as a fine art medium, bringing together titans of mid-century American graphic design alongside leading figures of the celebrated Polish School of Posters. The roster, including AIGA Medal recipients Chwast and Tscherny alongside Zagorski and Starowieyski, whose influence on American graphic design in the 1970s and 1980s was profound, makes this a rare institutional artifact of the cross-pollination between European poster tradition and American design education. The Pease provenance, acknowledged directly in Warren Infield's introduction, places this portfolio at the center of the workshop's leadership rather than its general circulation. Numbered #9 of 100, this copy is matched by the Pease estate's #9 copy of the companion Tyler Offset Workshop portfolio offered as the following lot.
