The Novels and Tales of Henry James. Macmillan and Co., Limited. The Riverside Press. 1909. In 24 volumes. J & E Bumpas signed binding in 3/4 pebbled green goat with marbled boards and end sheets. Bookplates of Annie Cowdray. T.e.g. Spines with raised bands and gild borders comprising six panels. Frontis to each volume. Bumpas was a bookseller, not a binder, but they employed the finest London binders to do their finest books.
All are 8vo. (H 8-1/4 W 5-3/4 in.)
Condition
All 24 volumes are in excellent condition, with only mild sunning to the spines and the occasional stray marks. Fine corners. Exceptional set.
