Large estate group of antique ephemera and photos. Includes 6 binders of letterhead, billhead, and booklets. Group of miniature books. Group of antique photos mostly cabinet cards and CDVs, some tintypes. Standouts include two CDVs of people holding thermoplastic image cases, a girl proudly presenting a larger photo album, and a man showing off his beard growth of 7 years (6 ft long). Also included is an early Hudson River Valley area ledger filled with hand-written entries about  individuals' causes of death (Dates 1907-1912.) Example: 'Case 157: Katherine Kelley, Age 40, Feb 26th 1908. Fell down stairs and killed, concussion of brain.'  Other cases detail drownings, shootings, electrocutions, railroad accidents, and some others more gruesome. Other miscellaneous ephemera such as miniature books, a binder of cigar labels, lenticular risque frames, and others (not all items shown in pictures).

Condition

Typical antique ephemera condition due to size and amount will exhibit a range from very good to poor; mostly good. Creases, edge wear, discoloration not uncommon. Papers have been kept in protective binder sheets.

Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction. Please note that all first-time live auction buyers that wish to pick items up in person must pay with cash.
