French sculptural 'Blanc Fil' gilded bronze mantel clock. The sculptural scene is a popular model design by Jean-André Reiche which depicts a woman in classical dress sitting in an Empire chair, reading by the light of an oil lamp. Vert marble base with ormulu anthemion border. Porcelain dial which reads 'Blanc Fils', 'Palais Royal'. France, circa 1810.

No crystal or key. Untested. Repair slip from Kirtland Crump, 1995.
