Three fine sets of Civil War history books to include: 1. Draper, John. The Civil War in America. New York. Harper & Brothers, 1867. 3 vols. 8vo. 2. Lossing, Benson. The Pictoriual Field Book of the Civil War. New Haven. 1878. Well illustrated with steel engravings and in text woodcuts. 3 vols. 8vo. 3. The Comte de Paris ((Tasistro, translator) Henry Coppée, Ed. With many folding maps (While not collated, we believe all maps are present). 4 vols. 8vo.
Condition
All sets are in very good to fine condition. Draper is near fine with no major faults. Pebble cloth with minimal wear, mostly at corners. Lossing with only slight wear/chipping to spine ends and corners. Also bound in pebble cloth. Comte de Paris vols 1,2 with split inner joints and light wear to blue cloth covers and spines. Vol 3 inner joints starting, vol 4 with evidence of regluing of the inner joints.

Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction.
