First edition. 360 pp 8 vo. Numerious woodcut illustrations throughout. Original cloth binding worn, with peeling and loss to about 1/3 of the spine. Overall wear and minor losses. Contents complete.

Bancroft, Hubert Howe. The Native Races of The Pacific States of North America.  New York: D. Appleton and Company. 1875. 8vo. Five volumes. All are bound in 3/4 sheep with marbled paper covers, marbled end papers, and all edges marbled. Numerous folding maps, tables, etc. All volumes show typical age wear to covers and spine, but are all tight and sound. Contents are in fine condition . Four of the five volumes with a small round sticker attatched to the bottom left of the front cover. The sticker is missing from one volume. A massive work of important information on the native people of the Pacific States.

Brightr blue cloth with beveled edge boards, gilt and black illustrations to front cover and spine. 296 pp 8vo. Fading/loss of color to bottom of spine and along bottom edges of front and back boards. Edge wear. Binding is slightly "cocked".

Also includes a third volume by the same author entitled By Cheyenne Campfires, also YUP, 1926. All tree bound in red cloth with gilt spine info. All are near fine with light wear to edges.
