In very good to near fine condition. Some rubbing to each volume, with some small loss to leather (peeling, as is often the case with sheep). Contents sound and bindings tight. Light to moderate foxing internally, most plates are fine. A truly nice set.

Light rubbing and a few scuffs to covers and edges. One small area of leather damage to bottom edge of rear cover (1"). Else a very tight and solid binding in lovely condition. Internally with light foxing. The wrappers are as usual, trimmed to fit with some loss to the top edge of some. Adverts have not been collated for completeness, and one page has a tear off the bottom corner.

The Turn Of The Screw: Book appears as new. Slipcase with minor rubs. Slight splits to opening to top and bottom. 

The book is very sound. There is some soiling and a few light stains and scuffs to the binding. Some light foxing to the interior, but the plates are all very fine.

It looks like these volumes (except maybe volume 1) have never been opened. The hinges are as tight as the day they came from the binder. Also, there are pencil codes on each portrait, possibly in the hand of the author. A fine set, with only the lightest wear on the high spots.

Cover somewhat detached from binding. Otherwise good.

In very good condition with expected light wear from age and handling. One bookplate has been wrinkled and partially loosened (easy but careful fix). Light soiling and edge wear to covers. Interior with toning and some foxing due to the type of paper used for the pages.
